Comments: 12/1/08 - "What Do Power Rangers and Godzilla have in Common?" They are both of Japanese origins. More so, they fall in the Japanese media genre known as "tokusatsu" meaning special effects. Godzilla, Power Rangers, and Ultraman have grown out of the era in which primitive computer-generated effects were becoming popular which eventually lead to the special effects in the early Star Wars movies. Back in the days, these shows attracted thousands of fans for their imaginative plots and colorful eye candy especially. - Mike ^_^
