UPDATES ON MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, AND FRIDAYS

Comments: 12/1/08 - "Shopping Craze " To begin off, my condolences goes to the family members of the people who were killed or injured during Black Friday shopping. This year, my family went Black Friday Shopping at midnight at Waikele Premium Outlet in Hawaii. It was a good thing that I took a short nap earlier in the day. For my sister, she was constantly yawning while browsing. I have never seen so much people shopping that late at night before. I guess cheap deals is hard to resist for anyone. My dad bought a pair of brand-name shoes that was on sale and just cherishing them. I saw a couple of my friends who were purchasing some tuxedos for the prom. They were urging me to do the same, but I'm not sure will I go this year. In the end, we return home around four o' clock in the morning just dead tired. The following day, my sister dragged us all out to go shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center. As we were looking around at Sears's prices - I have one word for them - "Dicks." I am not sure if the mainland does the same, but everytime Sears here have a sale, they often raise the original price before giving the discount. Say a pair of pants normally costs $20 as suggested retail price. On sales, they would raise it to $40 and then put a 50%-off sign next to it. Pretty clever, but that just shows that the store has no integrity. We then shopped at Claire's for accessories. Sometimes I wish I was a girl because there's all these things you can put on your ears, hair, wrists, neck, and such. Though something creepy I saw was a Hannah Montanna blonde wig laying in the costume corner. In the end, it's great to be a part of the beginning of the biggest shopping season of the year. - Mike ^_^
