12/1/08 - "Suicides, suicides, and more suicides "

It's surprising to know that it's actually the guys who executed suicides more than girls who attempts more - now don't go and change that (unless you're helping to prevent them). They are more of a spur of a moment thing that results from long-term building of negative thoughts. As with most counselors, I do believe suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. Things will eventually turn out fine in the long run or people will adapt to bad situations as it's part of our biological behavior.

I have a close friend who has been undergoing depression for the longest time. I don't know about know though. When I met him in the third grade, he used to be the sociable class clown. Back then, I really didn't know him. I haven't seen him since middle school till we get back together now and became friends. As I found out more about him, I feel sorry to find out the harsh things he has gone through over the years. It was just a year ago that he was telling me thoughts of suiciding - how it would be great if he died in a traffic accident to end all his suffering. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles and that you don't have a girlfriend, but you have to look on the bright side of things. This guy's very well off, and yet he's wants to suicide just because not everything goes his way.

There are people who are in a much worse situation than you are. Remember to look for support when you're hurting. There are people who love you. Think and cool down. Be happy. Read more of my comics.
