UPDATES ON MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, AND FRIDAYS

Comments: 12/17/08 - "Stepping Up" I initially was going to talk about something else, but something came up. Very much, I feel like in society, people are complaining too much. It's good to speak out your mind, but if you really have to do it, make sure it's to the appropriate person. I am really angry that a classmate of mine is trying to get my Japanese teacher fired. Apparently, my teacher made that guy do push-ups for not complying with her. Thus, my classmate deemed the act as "corporal punishment." Then, he went around saying to other people how it was unfair and saying bad things behind her back. Sure it may be corporal punishment, but it was a disciplinary act for the benefit of you. I think nowadays, most students are attributing that the cool teachers are the ones that overly socialize with you and giving slacks and hating strict teachers. If you have a problem with a teacher, go up to them directly and talk about it. I just don't want society to become ignorant and see the fall of mankind as we know it. Now relating back to the strip more, I like to point out that I am a part-time waiter at a buffet. People are constantly complaining that the menu is horrible despite of all-you-can-eat shrimps, crabs, sweet and sour pork, amongest other stuff for $14.99 for dinner. We live in Hawaii and things are expensive as it is with stuff available through shipping from the mainland. I would be more frustrated if complaints are about good quality. People are too cheap these days. From the second and third paragraph added together, I'm getting the message that people don't want to work hard and still get rewards. That's not how it works in real life, but apparently the mindsets of society are weaking to that point. I would very much love to sit on my chair, and have a free cheeseburger delivered to me every so often without me having to get out. Just remember, to survive, hard work is needed. - Mike
